The latest in senior asset and wealth management and legal services moves across Europe and the UK.

Growthdeck
Former Schroders chief investment officer Kieron Launder is joining the advisory board of private equity firm Growthdeck to advise on the continued growth of its investor network.

Launder previously headed investment strategy for Rothschild and spent 25 years in the industry, including 15 years at Citibank. The PE group said that he will be primarily drawing on his wealth management experience to help Growthdeck expand its high net worth client base.

Growthdeck offers access to stakes in individual private equity deals rather than having to invest in a fund, with a minimum £5,000 qualifying investment.

“HNWs often want to use their wealth to back innovative, fast-growing British businesses, especially in a tax-efficient manner. Growthdeck has built an excellent platform to do that,” Launder said.

Reed Smith
International law firm Reed Smith has added two corporate trust lawyers, Paulette Mastin and Paul Regan to its Financial Industry Group team in London.

Former Linklaters counsel, Mastin will join as a partner, and Regan as a counsel to work with the firm’s global corporate trustees, service providers, and financial intermediaries. Both are also active in the profession’s diversity and inclusion efforts. Mastin currently serves as chair of the Black Solicitors Network (BSN) in England and Wales and Regan is helping to found the first LGBT network of a UK law firm.

Waverton Group
Following a number of recent acquisitions, Waverton Group has appointed Marco Malagoni to head wealth planning in London. He will oversee a range of advice services for high net worth clients, including business planning, tax structuring, inter-generational planning and retirement planning. He joins following more than a decade at Cazenove Capital.
