Arlington County (Va.) Employees’ Retirement System approved follow-on commitments totaling $15 million to two alternative investment funds.
The $3.2 billion pension fund’s board at its April 4 meeting approved follow-on commitments of $10 million to Bison Capital Partners VI, a private equity and debt fund focused on small- to middle-market companies managed by Bison Capital Asset Management and $5 million to buyout fund Rubicon Technology Partners IV, said Susie Ardeshir, executive director and chief investment officer, in an email.
The pension fund originally committed $15 million each to the funds.
As of June 30, the pension fund’s actual allocation to alternative investments was 9.1%.
Investment consultant Windmark Investment Partners assisted.
