EASTON — Eglseder Wealth Management Group Inc. held its 11th annual Shred Fest on May 11. More than 135 cars came through, shredding over 8,000 pounds of sensitive documents.

Shredding documents containing sensitive information helps prevent identity theft and fraud and provides the huge added benefit of peace of mind, according to S. Chris Gostomski of Eglseder Wealth Management.

A number of other local businesses joined the event as vendors under the tent behind the Eglseder Wealth Management Group Inc. main office, including The Talbot Humane Society, Talbot Senior Center, Avery Hall Insurance, BSC Group, Junior Achievement, Full Circle Travel and Eat Sprout. Charlene Upham of Upham Antiques provided free antique appraisals.

Jamie Petrids of Jamie’s Pit Beef was there selling his pit beef and smoked turkey sandwiches. Proceeds of those sales went to Partners in Care.

“As always, we here at Eglseder Wealth Management Group, Inc. are proud to be able to provide this service to the community at large and hope that those in the community are able to connect with local businesses, hopefully finding the resources they need,” Gostomski said.
