Many pundits are predicting Republican candidates will fare well in the upcoming mid-term elections. The failed policies of the international left have led to increased crime, world chaos, and soaring inflation. Voters are begging for alternatives.
Democrats, instead, decided to run against Donald Trump again, making him the central part of their message and strategy.
Democrat candidates rely on investigations into the Trump organization, the Mar-a-Lago raid, and the January 6th hearings to help garner support. However, every new poll suggests candidates making the 2022 mid-term elections about Trump are more likely to lose – now more than ever.
The gloating victory lap of journalists and bureaucrats supporting continued attacks gives our former President a platform to counter-punch (which he will never pass up). But the media distracts us from what matters most to real voters – the disastrous Biden economy that will propel Republicans into office this Fall.
At this point – voters don’t care about the 2020 election or January 6, 2021 anymore. If we continue to talk about the past, especially the parts that aren’t even true, we won’t have time to offer a better vision for the future.
What Banana Joe Biden is doing to former President Trump is appalling, but a party that can only talk about its messenger is unable to deliver its message, and worse, can’t win. It is time to move on and focus on the candidates who are running and the problems facing our nation.
We need to consider a new nominee for 2024.
The way that I see it, we need to listen to the grassroots and start supporting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for President.
I loved the Trump Presidency. The economic prosperity, lack of war, and America First ideology created record unemployment and a real sense of patriotism. Despite the fictional drama of two impeachments, the Russia hoax, and ongoing ridiculous attacks against him, Trump made the USA better for Americans until COVID-19. And the left relentlessly attacked him – and it hasn’t stopped even after kicking him out of the White House.
Those on the political left are proving they will never stop attacking Trump. Even when it is counter to their interests (the midterm elections and their stock portfolios), they are incapable of moving forward. Trump derangement syndrome is real. And it’s a distraction.
Conservatives have a decision to make now – do we continue to live the drama, or should we consider Ron DeSantis, who can effectively carry Trump’s America First agenda forward?
Even conservatives like me, who love Trump, see DeSantis as the real alternative with a proven track record of standing up for American values. As Governor, he defended the rights of parents and got government spending under control, solving the big problems the Biden administration creates.
Many have tired of the constant attacks on Trump and the distractions from the real issues facing our country. As much as I respect Trump and I could vote for him again if he is the nominee – the data is crystal clear – Trump has lost the middle-of-the-road swing voters. A big part of this loss has nothing to do with policy – it is about the roadblocks constantly thrown in the way of Trump and anyone who dares to support him.
No matter how vocal the supporters outside Mar-a-Lago or at his rallies, it’s just not enough to replace the nearly one-third of the country squarely in the middle that just doesn’t want to vote for him. And that’s the problem we face headed to November 2024 – no amount of money or media will convince voters to vote for someone they don’t support. Just ask Hillary Clinton.
If we want Trump’s policies and Trump’s prosperity, it simply can’t be with Trump. However, we can win with Ron DeSantis, another dedicated America First fighter.
Like Trump, DeSantis says ‘no’ to the bullies, no matter how powerful they may seem. He can deliver security, safe streets, sane schools, and a soaring economy. The grassroots know it – and the donor class needs to listen.
I’m not just saying it – I’m not just listening to the grassroots. I’m putting my money where my mouth is. I’m donating heavily with one of the largest contributions I’ve ever made to Ready For Ron – a Draft committee focused on convincing Governor DeSantis to run. I’m hoping other donors will follow me too.
We need to start building the infrastructure to encourage Ron DeSantis to run for President now, or we will see another rerun of the 2020 election – and the associated drama that comes with it. If Trump is our nominee, we will miss the opportunity to easily win an election. If we pick DeSantis, we will coast to a real chance to Make America Great Again.
We can support a Ron DeSantis win – now, when it matters, or get saddled with an inevitable Trump loss.
