Confluence Wealth Management

ALTON — Robert Diaz, CFP® and Jack Hoelscher, Practice Business Manager, have opened Confluence Wealth Management, a financial planning and wealth management practice at 111 E. 4th St., Suite 222, in Alton that is an independent, locally owned affiliate of Raymond James Financial Services.

Diaz and Hoelscher are joined by Client Service Manager Jennifer Mobley. They offer strategic investment, wealth management and retirement planning services. Their clients include families, business owners, corporate executives, healthcare professionals and retirees. Clients are served in multiple ways by a team of professionals vs. a one-on-one approach often employed in the industry.

Diaz was previously affiliated with Edward Jones where he managed more than $115 million in client assets. An Alton native, he began his career as a financial advisor with Waddell & Reed in 2009 before transitioning to Edward Jones in 2011. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois in Champaign where he earned a degree in economics. He also holds an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designation and is committed to continuous education as a Certified Financial Panner professional.

“Confluence Wealth Management is the result of years of hard work, dreaming, and planning by Jack and me.” said Diaz. “I’m excited to see our vision come to life as a team-based practice capable of surrounding clients with a depth of support and expertise.”

Born and raised in Alton, Hoelscher worked 14 years with John Deere where he held several roles of increasing responsibility across various functions like finance, sales, analytics, marketing and business development. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Tulane University and an MBA and master’s in agricultural economics from Indiana University and Purdue University, respectively. He currently is studying for his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.

“We feel strongly that supporting our clients and helping them achieve their financial goals is a highly impactful way to serve and grow our community,” Hoelscher added. “We are committed to creating value for every client with whom we work.”
