Joe Biden denies advance notice of FBI search at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago, latest details inside

In an interview, President Joe Biden stated that he had not received a briefing on the secret documents that government officials discovered at former President Donald Trump‘s Florida resort last month.

Because he doesn’t want to get involved in the Justice Department‘s probe, Biden said he hasn’t asked for the specifics of those materials.

In the past, Biden had claimed that he received “zero” warning before the FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home. Eleven thousand documents, including 54 marked “secret” and 18 “top secret,” were taken by agents.

Regarding whether the documents include national security secrets, Biden claimed he had not personally spoken to anyone. But he continued that he was sure his administration and the National Security Council knew all that.

Biden referred to it as “absolutely irresponsible” and expressed his confusion about how such sensitive materials could have ended up at Mar-a-Lago.

Some other noteworthy remarks Biden made include the remarks about the pandemic, defending Taiwan, and running for the election again.

Pandemic COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic, according to Biden, is over. He added that COVID is still a concern for the U.S. and that the people and the government are still working hard on it. However, he reinforced that the pandemic had ended.

According to Biden, no one is hiding their faces with masks, and everyone seems to be in very decent form.

During a press meeting last week, the World Health Organization‘s director general said the pandemic might be nearing a turning point. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director general of the WHO, remarked that we are not there yet, but the end is in sight.

Backing Taiwan
As in the past, Biden asserted that if China attacked Taiwan, the U.S. military forces would defend it.

He claimed the U.S. policy of “strategic ambiguity” toward Taiwan, which Biden had previously mentioned during a trip to Asia in May, had not changed.
